Dr. Pieramici was born and raised in northeast Ohio. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Miami University in Ohio. He then attended Indiana University School of Law graduating cum laude. During his legal training, Dr. Pieramici focused on health care related issues and decided to pursue a medical degree. After graduating from medical school at Case Western Reserve University, he moved to Colorado for medical training at University of Colorado Health Science Center. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency followed by subspecialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology where he served as chief fellow. His areas of special interest include management of inflammatory bowel disease, genetic colorectal cancer syndromes, gastrointestinal motility disorders and health care policy.
