John S. Sabel, M.D., FACG, FACP

Dr. John Sabel is a native of Alabama. He attended the University of Virginia for his premedical studies as well as medical school. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor University in Houston, as well as his fellowship in gastroenterology. Dr. Sabel is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He serves on the boards of several health care organizations and foundations, including the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and the Med South Independent Physician Association. He is the regional Medical Director for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America as well as chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on Colon Cancer Prevention for the Colorado Clinical Guidelines Collaborative. His areas of special interest are preventive care and management of inflammatory bowel disease.
